The Beginning of Audrey’s Struggle
Hi everyone, this is Dr. Bulow with Revive Upper Cervical Chiropractic. You may have seen a video of one of our patients, Audrey, a high school soccer player. Audrey was kicked in the head during a game and lost her ability to walk in a straight line. What you may not have heard is that she also developed a stutter, a speech impediment.
The Incident
On August 16th, Audrey was playing as a goalie for her soccer team. During a match, a player broke away, and in a moment of bravery, Audrey dove for the ball. The other player kicked the ball—and Audrey was kicked in the head.
What followed was a nightmare. Audrey lost her ability to speak quickly and developed a stutter. Eventually, she even lost her ability to walk. It was a devastating experience that made her feel hopeless about her future.
Seeking Answers
Audrey and her family visited countless doctors, seeking answers. They were left with frustration as the neurologists recommended taking her to a psychologist, despite the clear physical nature of her injuries. This was not what Audrey needed.
