    Preparing for your visit

We realize that visiting a doctor for the first time can sometimes be a scary event. We want you to know that there is nothing to be scared of and that we are in fact excited to meet with you. Your initial visit with Revive is intended to be one that will get you answers, and allow our doctors to determine if you are in fact a candidate for upper cervical care. After your initial consultation, if you are determined to be a candidate for care, additional testing and imaging will be scheduled for a later date. Once those imaged and tests are done, our doctors will better be able to know what to recommend for your case and you will then begin care. Everything we do at Revive UCC is to better take care of our community. We have a methodical and very specific process to ensure the highest rates of success possible. We will not rush through any step of the process, and we will not accept your case unless we feel we can help you. If our doctors do not feel your case is an upper cervical case they will work with you to find the solutions that you are looking for.

    Your Initial Consultation

Consultations are times for our doctors to explain to you what your options are, as well as answer any questions you or your family might have. You are encouraged to bring a friend or family member with you, someone who may have questions themselves about your health status and what your options include. Consultations are extremely thorough and can take up tp an hour of time. At the end of the consultation, you will be given a brief thermal screening to determine if upper cervical care is right for you.

    Balance and Posture Assessments

Along with thermal imaging, your posture, range of motion, muscles, and joints, will be assessed on each and every visit. Not all problems are spinal problems, and it is very important for our doctors to determine when you do and when you do not need an upper cervical intervention.

    Infrared Thermography

Thermography is a form of imaging that measures for inflammation or heat that comes off of your skin. This brief assessment gives our doctors a better idea of what is happening inside of your spine and nerve system and will give them a better idea of if we can help your case.

    Precision 3D Imaging

Part of what makes Revive Upper Cervical Care so gentle and effective is the type of precision imaging we use. The cone beam CT allows for 3D images so our doctors can determine the most effective, gentle, and safe way to correct the causes of many of our patients’ problems. Patients are also encouraged to bring in any past MRIs, CT scans, or X-rays that have had taken of their head or spine.

    The Upper Cervical Procedure

Our doctors utilize the Blair Upper Cervical Method of spinal correction. This procedure is extremely gentle and safe. There is no “popping” or “cracking” of the neck, and the head is never turned or twisted during the adjustment. As a patient, you lay on your side, and there is a very light pressure applied behind your ear.
